Meijer was the presenting sponsor of the inaugural event in 1999 and became the Title sponsor beginning in 2000. Meijer underwrites the event and assures that all other sponsor dollars and net event proceeds will go directly to the charity of choice - Coaches and Athletes for Kids.
Ken Sudall's Go Green Glass became the event's presenting sponsor beginning in the year 2002. Ken has been involved in supporting the event from the very beginning and has been responsible for providing the state's finest officials for each contest. Ken has been a staunch supporter of the Sparrow Foundation and its family of Charities which now includes a Ken Sudall originated " Officials for Kids" committee.
Tom Mellen and Inco Graphics have been supporters of this event since 2001. Inco Graphics provides the event with a high quality game day program and their sponsorship allows us to provide the programs at no charge to our fans.
PrepSpotlight - Sam Hosey, aka "Da Chairman", is a columnist for this fine magazine and popular website keeping basketball enthusiasts on top of high school hoops action all around the Midwest. Sam provides the event a detailed analysis and preview of the teams as well as an in depth look at the top players scheduled to participate each year.
Dean Trailways of Michigan - Kellie Dean, President of Dean Trailways of Michigan have been supporters of our Press Conference since 2006 will be providing bus transportation for players, coaches and cheerleaders to our event in 2008. Kellie will also be sposnoring our FAN BUSES as a means of providing FREE transportation for our participating schools and their fans.
Rich Crandall and the Pepsi Bottling Group of Lansing have been 4th Quarter sponsors since 2006 and t-shirt sponsors in 2007. We look forward to continuing and expanding our relationship with Pepsi in future events.
Genral Motors has generously sponsored this event since 2004. In 2007, General Motors became the presenting sponsor of our event. We appreciate General Motors involvement and look forward to their continued support.
Tim Staudt and Staudt on Sports has been host of our Press Conference event since 2006. Tim graciously provides an hour of his daily live radio show on The Game 760AM each year to promote the event and interview the coaches from each of our particpating schools to give an in depth view of their team and the excitement they have about playing in this event and at this great venue.
Dominic Carbone and his local Hungry Howie's franchise have been a great supporter of this event. Dominic has been a member of our commitee as well as a sponsor of our event since 2004. Hungry Howie's has been providing food for our press room, suites and team hospitality room on game day adding another touch of class to our event.
Dick's Sporting Goods has been our 1st Quarter sponsor since 2005. We are very excited to have them as a supporter of the event and our designated charity and look forward to continuing that involvement in the future.
