Our first-ever Holiday HOOPS & ARTs Community Skills & Health Fair Event was held on May 18, 2024, at the Inez Patricia School of Dance. This event marked a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to enriching the lives of children and families through a unique blend of athletics, arts, mentoring, life skills, and health.

We partnered with Inez Patricia School of Dance, ARCHway Learning Solutions, Motivated King, Sunshine Soul Vibes, Bemer Group USA, Orlando Union Rescue Mission, and Full Tilt Ahead, to host a free event that was open to the public. The fair was thoughtfully divided into three distinct sections: a sports program, a life skills & health program, and an arts program. Each section was designed to engage the community in hands-on activities that demonstrated the value of our core program pillars—sports, arts, mentoring/life skills, and health/wellness. Additionally, free healthy breakfast and lunch options were provided throughout the day, ensuring that all participants could enjoy nutritious meals while participating.

We are especially grateful for the support of the Allstate Foundation, made possible through a Group Community Grant facilitated by HH&A volunteer Charlotte Hooks, who works at the Allstate Insurance agency. This generous grant was instrumental in the success of the event and highlighted the impact of community-focused corporate support.

The event was a tremendous success, with 62 participants registering and actively participating in the day’s activities. The positive response from the community confirmed the relevance and impact of our program offerings. The fair provided us with valuable insights to evaluate and refine our approach for future initiatives.

Through this event, we were able to increase engagement for both HH&A and our esteemed partners. Additionally, the success of the event has strengthened our resolve to continue empowering youth, families, and communities, bringing us closer to our vision of fostering growth for generations to come.
